Duties: The Master Scheduler role is responsible both for the scheduling of incoming materials into the manufacturing plant and the planning of the facilitys production. Assures availability and continuity of material supply as required. Responsible for supplier on time delivery, part logistics, days-on-hand (DOH). Scheduling of internal and external supply chains.
A. Maintenance and release of materials requirements from the MRP system to the supply base. Calculation of part requirements using Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning system (SIOP) and MRP, maintenance of supplier schedules.
Create and maintain internal manufacturing work orders.
B. Maintenance of purchase part parameters in the MRP systems (lead times, min buy quantities, reorder points, safety stock). Supplier advanced shipping notice (ASN) review and management.
C. Manage part level days-on-hand (DOH) inventory and ensure accurate perpetual inventory records.
D. Delivery and quantity negotiation with suppliers, expediting. Interact with customers as required.
E. Manage transactional logistics and eliminate any need for premium freight.
F. Inter company order entry using Pharos or similar order entry system.
G. Process ECN and MPS changes and maintain purchase records in the MRP system.
H. Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, manage ramp up / ramp down phase 5 of sourcing process working closely with suppliers and the centralized buy team.
I. Implement and manage pull production systems for manufactured and purchased parts.
J. Develop positive, ethical relationships with suppliers.
K. Adhere to Eaton standard sourcing process and divisional operating procedures; work closely with centralized buy team and internal supervisors and material handlers as needed.
L. Participate in plant and supplier QOS process.
M. Manage supplier compliance with Eaton Corporate initiatives.
